ALAYA SUITES AND VILLAS

- hospitality - Selected works

Alaya Suites & Villas stands as one of the premier tourist accommodations in Bali. It is crucial for its presence to reflect the culture and landscape of Bali’s local settlements. The concept of Catus Patha, a Balinese local wisdom, represents an intersection as the center of growth and activity in a village. This intersection is typically composed of four key elements: a temple (Pura), a governmental center (Puri), a public open space (Wantilan), a green open area (Alun-Alun), and a market (Peken).

This philosophy is integrated into the lobby function, establishing it as the central hub and starting point of hotel activities. The layout features a prominent cross-shaped axis, symbolizing the intersection. Nearby, you will find a shrine (Padmasana), an administration area serving as the hotel’s governance center, a lounge area for public interaction, a restaurant as the economic hub, and an open space situated at the heart of the axis. The secondary layout comprises rows of hotel rooms and villas extending towards the back, symbolizing the residential areas.

In essence, Alaya Suites & Villas not only provides luxurious accommodations but also meticulously incorporates traditional Balinese architectural principles, creating an immersive cultural experience for its guests.
